Installed the new fuel pump and spark plugs (NGK model XR5) and I’ve made a copper tube replacement for the wiper sprayers. For about $2 You can get 1 meter of small copper tubing at the train-model shop which is perfect for this.
I got the engine running again with the new spark plug wires and Pertronix ignitor. It runs better, now the engine doesn’t shake as much as it did before. Some finetuning still has to be done though. In my enthousiasm I mixed up the spark plug wires so I had to turn the engine manually on TDC in order to find the first cylinder spark on the distributor, phew… hard work, even with the spark plugs removed.
I replaced the rear shocks by a pair of hi-jackers but unfortunately the left side is still sagging a bit… I also cleaned the rear brakes and installed the Pertronix Ignitor. I hope I can finish the ignition stuff this weekend.
